Order Shifter Gasket Sets

Ordering/Payment instructions: You can pay directly with your PayPal account or use a major credit card through PayPal. Either way it is very simple. Or you can mail in your order with a personal check. If paying by PayPal, carefully select your product or products by clicking on the appropriate PayPal buttons. When you have completed selecting your products, please click on the View Cart button at the bottom of the page to begin the CheckOut process. If you are mailing in your order, be sure to include a list of each product on your order and include a personal check made out to BOB ARTHUR. My mailing address can be found on the Contact page.

* Each complete set includes a base gasket, 2 shifter handle gaskets that fit most 2-piece shifter handles, and instructions. If you have a 1-piece shifter handle (i.e. the MGW shifter) you will not use the shifter handle gaskets.

* Sets normally mail out within 24 hours by USPS First Class Mail. You will receive an email notification with the ship date.   Please allow at least 4-9 business days for delivery depending on your location.   On occasion unexpected USPS delays could extend delivery time.

* I offer expedited Priority Mail delivery at extra cost. If you live west of the Mississippi or in Florida, or if you must have your set within 1-5 business days, I highly recommend Priority Mail to speed delivery.   The Priority Mail option can be selected at the bottom of the page.

* NOTE FOR CANADIAN AND OVERSEAS ORDERS -- An extra postage & handling fee of $1.00 is required for mailing to Canadian and Overseas addresses. It will not fit a B&M shifter or the Steeda Sport Shifter which have a 1-piece handle. The gasket(s) fit between the shifter handle and the shifter base. The gasket set helps to absorb transmission noise and provide an improved shift experience. Includes two shifter handle gaskets and instructions. 2004 - 2006 GTO with T-56 Transmission (see note below)

	Item Name: 2004-2006 GTO T-56 Shifter Gasket Set Item Price: $7.00 Item SKU: CB-14 Note #1 - Please note that GMM shifters have a built-in O-ring on the shifter base. If you have a GMM shifter I recommend that you remove the built-in O-ring. Although it removes easily, do so at your own risk as removing it could void your shifter warranty. Please also note that many people leave the O-ring in place and have not had any issues adding my base gasket.

why is my shifter noisy?

Many people ask what causes their shifter to be noisy.

Actually it isn't the shifter that is noisy. What you hear is transmission gear noise being transmitted through the shifter (especially billet shifters) into the cabin.

The thin, irregular bead of silicon sealer normally used on the bottom of the shifter base doesn't do well as a noise isolator. The only real noise isolator is the thick rubber gasket on the shifter handle. It isolates some of the gear noise from the transmission, but not near enough.
